Ms. Millicent Collins, Carson school teacher and So. California AME Conference Youth Music Director, has formed a new gospel choir, The Carson Community Choir. Participation is open to area youth, ages 9—18, of all ethicity and church affiliation. The 5th Episcopal District WMS Handy Simmons Scholarship is offered to all active members of the AME church who are full time students attending a 2 or 4 year higher learning institution and pursuing a Bachelor, Associate or TechnicalSchooldegree.
