Rev. Dr. Earline M. Gentry
Rev. Dr. Earline Marie Gentry is a native of Los Angeles, California. She received her formal education in the Los Angeles Unified School District. A graduate of Thomas Jefferson High, Reverend Earline holds a BA Degree in Religion, from La Verne University. To further her theological studies she also holds an MA in Biblical Studies, and a DD in Divinity, both from Pacific Theological University. She has completed several courses in Christian Counseling from, Light University American Association of Christian Counselors Foundation.
As an Ordained Itinerant Elder in the African American Episcopal Church, Reverend Gentry is one of the original members of New Philadelphia A.M.E.. She served as the 1st New Members Director, one of the New Members Christian Enhancement instructor’s, Pastor of the Children’s Church, Pastor over Outreach Ministries, Community Walk & Prison Ministry, and as Christian Marriage Counselor.
Reverend Gentry has a heart for God’s people. She answered her call to ministry to serve God’s people passionately within the Church as well as in the community at large. She was selected as one of the honorees for Research and Status of Black Women at New Philadelphia and received recognition in the field of Theology. She is also an accomplished Author of “God’s Poetry, Writing in the Spirit” & Founder of “Together By Faith” Women’s Ministries for Women & Girls.
Reverend Gentry is a retired Claims Adjuster from the Automobile Club of Southern California where she served the public for many years. This experience enabled her to become proficient in handling claims and she took pride in actively serving her community.
Reverend Gentry is married to Roy Gentry. Together they have three children, 8 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Her family keeps her young at heart and willing to do her part in serving God and His people.
