Rev. Marina Bilbrew Gordon
Marina Bilbrew Gordon was born in Harbor City, California and raised and educated in the public schools in Lynwood, California. She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of California at Berkeley in Economics and a Masters of Divinity from Azusa Pacific Seminary. Her future educational goals are to attain an MBA and D. Min. degrees. Marina Bilbrew Gordon was ordained an Itinerant Deacon in the Southern California Conference in 2009 and ordained an Itinerant Elder in 2014. She is the mother of two children, a daughter, Exodus Nia Gordon and a son, Eden Hill Gordon
Rev. Marina Bilbrew Gordon is the former First Lady and a Founding Member of New Philadelphia A.M.E. Church. When the church was being organized, she left her job at Nabisco Biscuit Company as a Territory Manager in order to work diligently in the establishment of church. Using her administrative and business skills, she assisted with the development of the church’s infrastructure.
Rev. Marina Bilbrew Gordon's involvement with "Nu Philly" was numerous. She started the Marina Gordon Women's Missionary Society where she held the office of President for three years. She worked as a Sunday School and New Members teacher, Director of the G.A.N.G. (God's Anointed Nu Generation) Youth Ministry, Director of the Media Ministry, member of the Praise Team and the Director of W.O.R.D Ministry (Women of Royal Distinction).
Rev. Marina Bilbrew Gordon served as an Associate Minister at Bethel A.M.E. Church, Los Angeles as the Minister of Women and headed up the Phenomenal Women of Bethel for eight years. She currently is back at New Philadelphia A.M.E. as an Associate Minister and served as the chairperson for the 20th Church Anniversary in 2017.
